Vyjayanthimala is also an Indian classical dancer, Carnatic singer, and recipient of numerous awards, including Padmashri, Kalaimamani, and Sangeet Natak Akademi Award. She was a Member of Parliament Lok Sabha from 1984 to 1991. She was married to Chamanlal Bali, and they had a son named Suchindra Bali.
